Kev & Lynda came and picked up the girls this afternoon. They'll be away for 4 days! I asked the girls if my POTD would be of them or just their luggage...here's their answer. LOL

Today I took Kaylee out to pick up a few things and got each of the girls a blank wooden plaque for their bedroom doors. Barry & I helped Kaylee decorate hers today. She painted the purple background, flowers and hearts. :)

{Day 203 ~ 7.21.12}

At 1pm we headed to Parrsboro for the afternoon. We went to the Fundy Geological Museum as well as a few beaches and to the Gloosecap Restaurant & Lounge for supper. It was a perfect weather day...so fun! We didn't get home until almost 8:30!

Kaylee was playing with some clay before supper and clearly still has dentistry on her mind since she made a few tools...Mr.Sucky & the cleaner.

This afternoon I took the girls to the SPCA to visit the kitties and drop off some used toys they are going to use for their annual birthday celebration next month. This little kitten was SO cute! Her name was Tootsie and had been adopted, she was just waiting for her new parents to pick her up on Friday. After that we went to take the bottles back to the EnviroDepot, got gas then went to McDonald's for supper.

Yesterday I installed a camera app on Kaylee's iPod and we took a bit to fool around with it, ending up with some nice photos of the 2 of us.

{Day 198 ~ 7.16.12}

Kaylee had a dentist appointment this morning to get her first filling. She did NOT deal with it well at all. Her anxiety took over and the noisy tools made it worse. We almost had to stop for the time being and get an appointment in Lower Sackville to have her put to sleep for the procedure. But, she was a trooper and pushed through it, getting it done. In the afternoon we went to the mall for my waxing appointment so I got her a few things at Ardene for being such a strong girl.

{Day 197 ~ 7.15.12}

This afternoon we picked up KFC for supper and headed to MacElmon's Pond in Debert for a picnic! After eating and checking out the pond, we went to the Masstown Market to check out the Catch by the Bay lighthouse (& climb to the top of it) and get some ice cream. It was a great afternoon!

{Day 196 ~ 7.14.12}

Today Kaylee went to the beach with Madison so I decided to have a "Mommy/Daughter Day" with Kristen. We had lunch, got her hair cut and went shopping. I got a bunch of clothes at Children's Place at a great price including Kristen's back to school outfit (preppy schoolgirl), and then we went to Molly's Dairy Bar for supper and an ice cream. We were out for 5 1/2 hours! I love the waves and curls Kristen has in her hair!

After getting the oil changed on the car today, the girls and I went to Sobeys because they are having a Buy 1 Get 1 Free sale this week. I saved over $32 on my groceries!

{Day 194 ~ 7.12.12}

I dropped Kristen off at a friends house at 11 this morning and since she wasn't going to be driven home until close to 6pm, Kaylee & I decided to have a day to ourselves! We went and got her hair trimmed since she is growing out her inverted bob and it needed to be leveled off, then to McDonald's for lunch, WalMart to get a few things, the Workshop to see what was there and to see my mom who was there having coffee with a friend, then to get a treat before heading home!

Today Kristen decided to get out the "Gazillion Bubbles" machine their Great Uncle Harv bought them a few years ago. There were so many bubbles floating through the air!

Today I went to Dartmouth to meet up with some girls from my mommies group. Court (left) & her husband are down from Ontario visiting friends so the 3 of us who live here decided to meet up and have lunch at Moxie's in Dartmouth Crossing. It was so much fun! I just wish it would've lasted longer! Afterward I went to Kev & Lynda's to pick up Kaylee and took her to Eastern Passage to see our old place and to Fisherman's Cove to get some ice cream, then went back to get Kristen who was playing with my niece Sam. We got home at about 6:20pm. What a long day!

After posting an ad on a Facebook yard sale page this afternoon, I saw an ad for a 28"x40" framed artwork of poppies which looked perfect for my bedroom. My mommies board is called Pack of Poppies, so that makes this piece that much more perfect!

{Day 190 ~ 7.8.12}

Yesterday evening we had a sudden strong thunderstorm with lots of wind and rain come up very quickly. Within one minute of it starting, my most favorite tree in our yard fell down. :( Good thing it didn't damage anything! Barry took some time today to cut up as much of it as he could with what tools he has.

I decided to take the girls to Centennial Pool today for a leisure swim since we had nothing else to do. Cost $9 for the 2 of them to go but it lasted 2 hours and they had a blast!

Kristen's BFF Emily had her 11th birthday party tonight. On the agenda, a swim in their pool and a sleepover in their tent as well as Greco pizza for a snack! She was so excited!!

Today was a crappy day and all I did was get some groceries. After supper, Barry & I watched Despicable Me with the girls.

Mom came and got the girls today to take them to The Workshop then they met up with me at WalMart afterward for lunch at McDonald's and to get a grading present from her. They each chose a doll from the show Victorious.

Today was another beautiful day so I took the girls to play at the school for a bit (there is so much space there when there's no vehicles!) and then to get a slush. You can barely see our car...in the middle and down at the bottom 4th you can slightly see the wheels.

Kristen lost another molar during supper last night! She just pushed on it with her tongue and out it came. :)

{Day 183 ~ 7.1.12}

Happy Canada Day! After lunch we took the girls to Bible Hill for their festivities including bouncy houses, face painting, train ride, pony rides, food, etc. We spent most of the time in line-ups, but it was fun! After that we went to Tim Horton's for a treat then to my parents house to hang out and have supper, then downtown to see the fireworks at 10pm!

{Day 182 ~ 6.30.12}

Both girls ended up going on sleepovers tonight. Kristen went to her friend Liette’s house down the street and Kaylee went to her friend Madison’s house across the street. They are going to sleep in a tent with Madison’s dad! Since we were kidless, Barry & I went to Swiss Chalet for supper which was yummy!

{Day 181 ~ 6.29.12}

Today was report card day so the girls went to school for an hour to pick them up and see who their teachers will be next years. Most of Kristen's friends decided to transfer to Redcliff Middle School so she's a bit bummed about that, but I think she'll just gain a lot of new friends in the ones that are in her class this year! The girls did great on their report cards. Kristen got all A's and 1 B, and Kaylee got mostly B's and a few A's.

Kristen was still at a friends from a sleepover last night and Kaylee had been playing at a friends since 9am, but at almost 4pm it got really dark and started thundering. Since they both freak out over thunder, they promptly came home and started whining. LOL

After coming home from my dentist appointment this morning, I went through all of the girls school work and put what I wanted to keep in their file folders. Kaylee's "My Grade One Portfolio" was too big to put in the file folder though.

Today we had to get squeezed in to see the doctor because we found out last night that Kristen has pinworms. I had them when I was a teenager so I knew exactly what they were. Poor girl :( So because it's possible she's passed it on to us, we have to get treated for it too. One dose today, another in 2 weeks then one more 2 weeks after that. Hopefully they'll be gone by then! (I am NOT posting this on Facebook!)

This morning the grade 3's, 4's & 5's had a talent show for the whole school. Kristen and her friends Haley & Amelia did some "gymnastics" (aka cartwheels & round offs). I was proud that she got up in front of the whole school...I'd never do that!

Kaylee lost her 2nd tooth last night! She looks so cute, especially when her little tongue is sticking through the gap. LOL

Tonight we had a fondue to test out our new pot and we let Kristen try it for the first time (Kaylee was at a friends for supper), which is a big deal to us. She liked it, but doesn't want to do it again in the near future. LOL Guess she didn't like cooking her own food and waiting for each bite to be done!

{Day 174 ~ 6.22.12}

Kaylee's Student Teacher from Korea is heading home tomorrow so today she gave all the kids a little present consisting of some origami paper, a pencil & some Korean stickers as well as a cute homemade card that shows what their name is in Korean on the front as well as a nice note on the inside. Too cute!

Tuesday we got our conversation set and put it together but today was the first day I actually sat down and relaxed in it. So comfy! The 8x8 gazebo makes the fit a little snug, but it works well enough. :)

Today was my parents 40th anniversary and they had everyone over for a family supper (my grandparents, aunts, uncles and a few cousins showed up as well as my siblings and their kids). It was a yummy supper as well as a yummy lemon cake with raspberries that my aunt Allie made. Too bad Barry was on-call and got called out to work about 15 minutes after we showed up there!

Kaylee lost her first tooth today! It's been loose for a while now and the adult one has been coming up behind it so we really wanted it gone! I gave her a silver ring for losing her first tooth, just like I did with Kristen. She didn't want the Tooth Fairy to come. I had to tell her I'd take it from here. LOL

Today was a beautiful day so while I was out on the deck, I figured I'd bring Marlie out for a bit. I sat in front of the stairs so she couldn't bolt, which I could never do with the old deck since there were 2 staircases!

Today was Father's Day so in the afternoon we headed to Stanley to visit Barry's parents at their Flying Club "cottage" for the afternoon. Had a great BBQ supper with carrot cake for dessert and headed home close to 8pm. Good thing we had good weather!

The girls had their last swimming lesson today and both passed! Kristen actually finished Swim Kids 1 AND 2 this session! We were so proud of them, we took them to Pizza Delight afterwards to celebrate. :)

Our vacation Shutterfly book came in the mail today! Ellen DeGeneres gave away free 8x8 Shutterfly books last month so I made this one and only had to pay the $6.99 shipping! I love that I was able to take my journaling that I did while we were in Ottawa and put it down on pages with the photos...memories that will last a lifetime!

Today the school had their Fun Day and Kaylee won 1st place in the race of all the girls in her class! Her class also won the Tug of War that they had between Ms.Manthorne's class. :)

Last night Barry & I finished putting the gazebo together. It came with a mosquito net and curtains which will help when the sun comes in a certain way or the bugs get crazy! I just ordered our new conversation set so we'll see how it looks when it's all set up!

Kristen had her Field Day at school today (grades 3, 4, & 5) and won 2nd place of all grade 4 girls in the discus throw!

{Day 163 ~ 6.11.12}

The SPCA called on Saturday and asked if I could bring Clover back today rather than on Wednesday. I was glad to since he was driving us all crazy with his meowing and pooping all over the place. I can't blame the latter on him though since he has some sort of bacteria that causes it and needs to see a vet for some antibiotics. He is such a great snuggler, hopefully he'll get adopted soon!

This afternoon Barry & I took the girls to the movies. Kristen and I saw Snow White & the Huntsman, and Barry & Kaylee saw Madagascar 3. Both were awesome movies!

Last night I stayed over at my parents house so we could get everything set up for the yard sale today. I have a bad cold at the moment and had a fever last night but it went away by this morning so I was able to make a whopping $33 selling stuff. LOL Afterwards, I donated some things, kept some things for next years yard sale and some items I will sell on Kijiji.

This morning I had to go to the hospital to get a test done on my bladder to see if I have Interstitial Cystitis. The doctor never came out and said "You have Interstitial Cystitis" but he said I have an inflamed bladder and that's what causing me to feel like I have a bladder infection when I don't (which is a symptom of IC). Then he gave me a prescription so I can continue with the Elmiron that I've been taking for a month and a pamplet on IC. I have to go back in 6 months to see how things are going.

Yesterday I got this cross stitch iPhone case in the mail and started working on it today. It's so hard on the fingers! I made up my own pattern and had to restart a few times because I miscounted, but I got it going now. Hopefully it won't take TOO long to finish!

{Day 157 ~ 6.5.12}

On Friday morning, Barry woke me up asking if I knew anything about me winning a TV. I said no, and he told me that the postman just delivered a 32" Samsung LCD TV and it has my name on it. I had no clue about it at all, but I guess when I signed up for Bell Fibre-Op, there was a promotion where new customers get a free TV.  Bonus! The big 27" tube TV the girls use upstairs has gone wonky a few times and we've been wanting a flat screen to replace it so it's perfect timing! It's neat...there are no buttons for the volume, power, menu, etc. You just touch where indicated and it'll react accordingly!
