Today was my sister-in-laws birthday so we all went over to my parents house for supper. After Ang blew out the candle on her yummy lemon cake, her daughter Rae wanted to feed the candle to her. LOL

Marlie is a fat cat, but she also has such saggy skin! She looks like a square with a head when she sits like this. LOL

This afternoon Barry & I took the girls to the mall to get a few things...Kristen got a Sock Monkey Rescue kit at Coles and Barry picked up a new pair of work boots from Mark's Work Wearhouse. They were $200...good thing the company pays for it!

{Day 28 ~ 1.28.12}

Tonight Barry took Kristen to see the Truro Bearcats play the Yarmouth Mariners with the tickets she got on the 23rd. They won 4-2! Kristen says she had an awesome time and definitely wants to go again.

{Day 27 ~ 1.27.12}

Since today was an in-service, the girls and I headed to the mall to pick up Kristen's new glasses! She got these blue ones and a pair of brown ones that look a lot like her old ones. The woman also gave Kaylee a pair of purple frames (with no lenses) and a case for them to go in so she could play with them since she doesn't actually need glasses but was jealous that Kristen was getting some. LOL

I went out shopping with Mom today and we went to the Workshop (a new-to-you place) where they had Buy 1 Get 1 Free on all clothing so I ended up getting all of this for $15...6 shirts (the brown one is reversible), 2 pairs of footwear, 1 pair of gloves, 2 hats & 20 books all in excellent condition!

The girls got sweaters from my Mom yesterday and couldn't wait to wear them to school today. Very nice and comfy!

{Day 24 ~ 1.24.12}

It was rainy and +11 today! I headed to WalMart this morning to grab a few things then went to my help my Mom with a few electronic things she was having problems with. Had lunch there then left just before the girls got home from school!

{Day 23 ~ 1.23.12}

Kristen came home today SO excited that she got free tickets to see a Bearcats game from her vice-principal! She's been wanting to go with her Daddy to see them and now she can!

{Day 22 ~ 1.22.12}

The girls went out sledding 3 times today, showing that their new winter garbs hold up nicely to the snow. Kaylee's snowsuit doesn't even look used, although I can't say the same for her knitted mitts. LOL

While the girls were in Bible Hill sledding with their friend Madison and her dad, I had to go through my hard drive and clear out some things as it was dangerously close to being full...I got rid of 40GB of stuff!

{Day 20 ~ 1.20.12}

The girls both had eye exams this morning and both went great ~ Kaylee has perfect vision with no sign of near-sightedness and Kristen's eyesight has only changed a tiny bit which is great for a growing child. After the app't we went and picked out Kristen's new glasses, one brown pair and one blue pair, which will be ready next week.

Barry got paid today which means it's time to pull out the Home Management Binder I made which holds, among other things, our expenses page. I record everything that comes out of our main bank account so our spending doesn't get out of hand and  because I write down things that will be coming out of our account even before they actually do, like pre-authorized billing, I know exactly how much extra money we have to spend on little things we need.

I went to WalMart this morning to buy some stuff that was on sale so I was able to try out my new FM transmitter in the car. It sounds awesome and had no spurts of static! Another great buy from eBay!

{Day 17 ~ 1.17.12}

I spent 5 hours this afternoon reading my Dexter book from the library. I've had it since December 9th and it's overdue by 17 days. I don't mind paying the fee which is only $2 a month, but I have another book on hold and they'll only keep it until Thursday so I need to finish this one so I can pick up the other!

We've been having a pretty mild winter, but every once in a blue moon a cold snap will come by and we'll get a morning like this...-15 with a windchill of -25!

This afternoon we headed over to my parents house for supper. When we got there my brother, sister-in-law and niece were visiting so we hung out with them for a bit.

Barry took the girls out to do a few errands and had McDonald's for lunch, but for the rest of the day we just lazed around playing with our gadgets.

I got a new case for my iPod Touch in the mail this morning...love it and now I want to get a red one! After lunch I went to the school library to help put away books and helped the librarian check off her list of books for African Heritage Month (aka Black History Month) next month.

This afternoon the girls took some time to watch Mars Needs Moms. Kaylee & Chloe  snuggled on the couch while Kristen cozied up in the love seat.

{Day 11 ~ 1.11.12}

I went to the mall today to pick up 2 things I ordered ~ Hello Kitty headphones at Sears for Kaylee and a Locomotion Boom Box at The Source for me. I have a CD player/radio/cassette deck in my bedroom but it takes up almost the whole side table so I wanted something smaller. This one is perfect because it's a radio, a CD player and instead of a cassette deck, it has an iPod dock! And a remote! Kristen got this same one the week after Christmas and I realized afterward that it would be perfect for me too but by then there were none left in the store so I ordered one online and got it shipped to the store instead. :)

I was mixing up the tuna tonight to make the girls lunches for tomorrow and thought I'd snap a picture of Marlie begging for some like she always does.  I only had my iPod with me so forgive the photo quality.

Today I ran a few errands and picked up these cute Hara Juku erasers for the girls. They collect unusual erasers...Kristen even  has all of my old ones from when I collected them in 1988!

{Day 8 ~ 1.8.12}

The girls each got a puka shell necklace for Christmas but Kaylee didn't want it and the wire was wonky anyway so I took it apart and added some black ones to it to make a necklace for Barry. I would've tried to get a better picture in the daylight tomorrow but I don't think he'll be taking it off any time soon. LOL

{Day 7 ~ 1.7.12}

We had 3 free admissions coupons from a date night gone awry in September so we decided to take the girls to the movies today. Barry took Kristen to see TinTin and I took Kaylee to see Alvin & the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked. Both were good movies! We had to pay for 1 child admission and 2 snack packs (a drink, popcorn and a bar) then afterward I got them each a Mario Brothers DS stylus from a machine and we got McDonald's for supper on the way home since it was 5:30. All in all it cost us $50 for the day. Would've been almost $80 without those coupons!

{Day 6 ~ 1.6.12}

Yesterday we had light fluffy snow in the air all day which accumulated to be about 3" or so. Today the sun was actually shining which made everything look beautiful!

After getting off the bus this morning, Kaylee got kicked in the face by a schoolmate (by accident of course). She only cried a little and it didn't bleed, so she's okay. Hopefully it'll heal up soon.

{Day 4 ~ 1.4.12}

I redeemed some of my AirMiles and got a $25 iTunes gift card that I received in the mail today! I automatically got the paid versions of Angry Birds, Cut the Rope & Scrabble, then also purchased Camera+ so I can fiddle with the photos I take with my iPod Touch. :)

{Day 3 ~ 1.3.12}

I took 5 hours today and put away all the Christmas stuff and cleaned up. With the tree gone in the family room, there was a big empty space where our desk used to be so I made a little reading nook there. The furniture will be replaced with better items in the future. :)

{Day 2 ~ 1.2.12}

The girls got a bit of money after DH's grandfather passed away, so I wanted them to get something to remember him, not just a toy that they'd later throw away. Kaylee picked out this stainless steel pendant and chain and I went to WalMart today to pick it up. On the side it says "Sparkle, Glow, Shine"

Happy New Year! Today is Day 1 of my 3rd Project 365! Today we went to my niece's 10th birthday party and the girls had a blast playing with her as they don't get to see her too often.
